Students and friends from around the globe gathered for our "Holiday Celebration and Transmission of White Tara." In a season for expressing gratitude to those we love and appreciate, and for coming together in hopes of bringing more peace and beauty to our world.

At Ontogony, we are as fascinated by transformation, as we are by metaphor. So, in this season of change and enchantment, we take a moment to consider an aspect of snow: perhaps snow’s enduring mystique resides, however unconsciously, in the story of water meeting land, of "Heaven meeting Earth". And, perhaps in this season, the one most likely to include the lovely white flakes gently falling, we get to consider … or remember…  that we are being kissed by the Divine.

Facing 2023 and its uncertainties, our prayer for these holidays—and likely well beyond—is that we find new ways to see the light around us and beauty in the shadows. It is always time to celebrate the wondrous moments with greater awareness and bring a peaceful heart to all that we do and share.

About the Practice:

The White Tara Practices provide special support in facing the sorts of uncertainties that lie ahead on this planet. Arya Tara—the Noble Tara—is a Buddha who, in earlier times, promised to always be born in the pure form of a female body in order to help living beings reach enlightenment. In this online transmission, Carlos shares the practice of "Snowflake Protection Meditation," with an emphasis on pacifying and purifying places, groups, families, communities, and countries. Through group practice, as we dedicate ourselves to helping others in this festive season, may we come closer to the recognition of our True Nature.

We are inspired by our growing community of students, this beautiful collection of unique individuals who share a desire for growth and transformation, are curious about what lies beneath the surface, and are courageous enough to step down new paths. Receive the blessings of Tara, and celebrate the gifts of the past year, which certainly include being on this journey together and with a teacher who, in addition to knowledge and wisdom, has compassion, an open heart, and a sense of humour.

Let’s continue to engage in teachings that bring new levels of compassion, and presence, while reflecting on our individual and collective journeys, our growth over the past year, our plans for 2023, and our intention to contribute to a more peaceful and joyful world!

Carlos de León, the founder of  Ontogony, holds Ph.D.’s in both Clinical Psychology and Holistic Medicine. Dr. de León has spent more than 40 years in related research, study, and practitioner experience, particularly in the area of personal transformation.
