The Mini-Workshop: Death & Transcendence offers guidance and direction in reviewing our relationship with Life and Death. Join Carlos de León for an exploration of psychological and spiritual perspectives on the wonder of Life and the inescapability of Death. 

Death, we can´t live without it! And whether we acknowledge or ignore it, every single day, it draws closer. Could we face it in a healthier way? Be more ready for it... whenever? How?

What Carlos proposes is an important investigation around personal experience and our relationship with Death…and Life.

As always in Ontogony, the approach uses several models and traditions, offering an ample spectrum for discovery. Cultures vary in their treatment of Death. In Mexico, El Día de los Muertos each November, corresponding roughly to All Souls Day, brings a very noisy and colourful celebration: music, parades, skulls, and little coffins made of candy. (Almost the opposite of Serious and Solemn!)

Highlights or Objectives of the Mini-Workshop:

  • Clarify Death, and advance in your level of preparation. Reflect on the significance, purpose, and coherence of your life;

  • Understand the importance of “right vision and motivation”; how we can be trapped by a limited vision - throughout our lives up to, and even in, the very moment of our death;

  • Gain a fuller appreciation of Life's uncertainty…and Death's certainty!

  • Explore how we move into ambivalence and denial as a way of coping with the inevitable;

  • Find new levels of understanding; participate in exercises designed to explore the following:

  • A conundrum to be resolved;

  • There has to be something beyond;

  • The way versus the Way;

  • The Practice;

  • Dying and Freedom.

Teachings are complemented by experiential online practices to help ignite preparedness and/or strengthen our connection to Death. Whether you are new to the Ontogony Teachings, or you are an advanced practitioner of one of the paths, this series is designed to illuminate and further the course of your journey, living your life to its fullest and creating an adequate environment for a conscious death and a transition with Grace.

Carlos de León, the founder of  Ontogony, holds Ph.D.’s in both Clinical Psychology and Holistic Medicine. Dr. de León has spent more than 40 years in related research, study, and practitioner experience, particularly in the area of personal transformation. As the founder of the Mexican Association for Psychotherapy and Transpersonal Development, he teaches and, perhaps more significantly, has developed the model known as    Ontogony: an inquiring discipline for the research, study, and development of liberating tools and paradigms.  Read more...

  1. I fully understand that there are no refunds for the Death & Transcendence Mini-Workshop-; inasmuch as the course materials remain accessible for viewing and review.
  2. I have agreed to the Terms and Conditions and I am committed to the full program and payment of the full tuition. If on a payment plan, I will honour my debt from the time of enrolment until the final amount is paid in full.
  3. I agree to provide a credit card for the payment of my financial plan and understand that my information is held in a secure web portal and hidden for maximum security.
  4. Should unforeseen circumstances at any time require me to place my payment plan on hold or require me to seek further financial assistance, I will contact the Financial Administrator to reevaluate my situation. I am aware that this may result in a temporary suspension from the program which will be reactivated upon commencement of my payments.
  5. I have agreed to respect the privacy of all the content shared by Carlos de Leon, and am aware that the copyright is held by Ontogony Evolution LTD. Program Access: Access On-Demand in the Ontogony Classroom for 4 months from the time of enrolment.

Access Renewal Fee: This is available only for purchase by students who have previously enrolled in this program. The fee of $7.05 CAD is due at the time of registration. This Renewal Fee grants you 4 months of program access on-demand in the Ontogony Online Classroom.
