Holiday Celebration, a Global Gathering

As winter's chill approaches, envision the ‘hearth’ as more than a physical space—it's the heart of your dwelling, the place where meditation becomes a comforting flame, and the shared warmth of community lights up the coldest nights. Mysticism teaches us that everything in the physical universe has a spiritual counterpart. In this season of enchantment, firelight and candle flames speak of  sacred spaces and of a universe alive with a divine and loving energy.

At Ontogony, we are fascinated by transformation and by metaphor, and have chosen the image of a ‘hearth’ to represent our own sacred internal space, the sanctuary of soul and spirit. External sanctuaries were originally envisioned in natural settings such as groves or hills, where the divine, or sacred, was believed to be especially present; and seen  as having three divisions: the Courtyard, the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place. 

This season you are invited to explore the design of  your own ‘spiritual hearth’, and to rekindle the flames of recognition, purification and celebration. Self-discovery is a sacred journey whose path is illuminated with spiritual practice. Meditation, in fact, provides a real hearthstone radiating a warmth and energy that you can enjoy by yourself and/or share with loved ones; a spiritual fire to use for the transformation of yourself and of your world.

We are inspired by the growth in our community of students, a collection of unique, courageous and beautiful beings, who share a curiosity about life and transformation. We look forward to your presence and energy at our holiday gathering. 

Let us share in a toast, and celebrate the gifts of the past year… which certainly include being together on this journey, and with a guide who, in addition to his knowledge and wisdom, has compassion, warmth, and a generous ‘hearth’ that he willingly shares with students and friends around the globe
