Join Carlos de León for the first year of the Taoism Practice Growth Group. Along with presentations of foundational theory, the program emphasizes the employment of a series of alchemical meditations called: “Wu Ji Gong”, or the ‘Cultivation of the Limitless’, designed to support personal transformation and liberation.
This Online Growth Group offers an experiential approach to Taoist reality, along with presentations of foundational theory to provide an understanding of the 'View’ which sustains our experience. Group time will emphasize ‘Practicing’ a series of alchemical meditations, designed to support personal transformation and a liberation process, or what the Taoists refer to as ‘Immortality’. The Ontogonic approach integrates ancient wisdom to create more efficient practices for our modern times. Our approach is called: “Wu Ji Gong”, or the ‘Cultivation of the Limitless’. It paraphrases the words of Chuang Tzu and is the intention and goal of this growth group experience. One of the most beautiful representations of Taoist vision is the Tao Te Ching, or “The Way and Its Power,” a collection of poetry and sayings from around the 3rd and 4th centuries B.C.E. It is a guide to Taoist thought and actions, whose author is traditionally believed to be the philosopher Lao Tzu. The is little to authenticate Lao Tzu’s actual existence, so perhaps the Tao Te Ching is a collection of the writing of many early authors? Be that as it may... “To enter the gate of inexhaustibility, And to roam in the fields of infinity. We shall mingle our light with that of the sun and moon, And will become eternal with heaven and earth.” ~Tao Te Ching One of Taoism’s main ideas is the belief in balancing forces, or yin and yang; representing matching pairs, such as light/dark, hot/cold, action /inaction, working together toward a universal whole. Yin and Yang show that everything in the universe is connected and that nothing makes sense, or even exists, by itself.
