In ways both conscious and unconscious, our relationships are part of a karmic journey toward a completeness of the 'Self via partnership with Another'. We are offered a pathway, both physical and metaphysical, for managing polarity, living in duality, and creating a healthy, more satisfactory and meaningful experience.

Sexual union, as a core function of human life, plays a huge role in the body’s physical vitality and psychological health. Wilhelm Reich's work, addressing the biophysical, speaks of the orgonomic current, an energy travelling from the genitals to the head, down the spine and through the abdomen; and capable of a fusion between partners which he calls 'cosmic superimposition’. Reich’s therapeutic goal for a healthy sexuality, an open orgone flow expressed in the “orgasm reflex”, is in fact a force for evolution; an immense and universal force merging the spirit (one’s divine essence) with the body.

The radically new level of connection allows us to come fully present, and to experience a kind of  holy grail—sex as communion with the soul. That possibility exists within us ...any time, all the time.

If we find the courage and curiosity to unpack our “conditioning”, to reinterpret our own and one another’s narratives, myths and metaphors about relationship, in short to create shared meaning, it allows us to build a foundation for the levels of connection and intimacy we long for and for which we are designed: 

Sex as involution (spirit descending) and evolution (physical ascending),
meeting at the heart in an explosion of pure love.

Whether you are new to the Ontogony Teachings or you are an advanced practitioner of one of our paths, this series is designed for all individuals, single or in a relationship, interested in improving the quality of life, and for all spiritual searchers and practitioners looking for deeper understanding of who and what we are.

Carlos de León, the founder of  Ontogony, holds Ph.D.’s in both Clinical Psychology and Holistic Medicine. Dr. de León has spent more than 40 years in related research, study, and practitioner experience, particularly in the area of personal transformation.
